Work Experience

Since leaving high-school the majority of my time has been spent working within US immigration.

GovCIO

Junior Field Service Engineer
4/2025 - Present

As a Junior FSE my duties are to provide tier 2 deskside support to the USCIS Vermont Service Centers. My duties have included providing T2 SCCM Administration for the local VSC admins, removing objects and viewing logs for other FSEs. As a T2 admin I routinely manage objects in Active Directory, remotely install and manage software/OS settings on client computers, and complete security remediations fixing vulnerable machines. I routinely wipe and destroy data storage devices according to procedure, patch network drops in the server rooms, and set up Avaya VOIP phones for users. Along with the software, I'm also tasked with physical repair of devices including laptops, printers, scanners, and bar coders. I help users with networking issues pertaining to ZScaler and Global Protect, and any issues they face with the Microsoft 365 suite or Citrix. Two co-workers and I have been featured in the GovCIO newsletter, along with a commendation for our efficiency in the mass decommissioning of laptop returns. Whenever I have freetime, I work on producing Powershell scripts that save time helping us to work more efficiently.

I maintain and update application locations within the internal databases and other types of documents using office automation software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and others. I have worked for both the VAWA and regular application teams, assembling and/or keying many thousands of applications including 129s, 192s, 539s, 765s, 914(A)s, and 929s. I quality check and assure all work as I execute it, and ensure my work is complete and accurate. The internal tools I've worked with to complete my duties include CIS, Claims3, Citrix, RAILS, Benefits Hub, ELIS, and MEA.
I've also been able to maintain an above average keying output of ~75 applications up to 100+ per 8 hour day while also having an almost flawless QC record.
